Play

(exerpt from the parts the Water and the Water Dancers)

A giant diagonal pool across the stage. The Flutist levitates inbetween the land and sea, low, then higher, then strightly up, then returns to the earth. Plays, her flute flies away. Gets darker. The flute bounces back from the darkness.

The moon rises. The Flutist drops small stones into the water, walks on its surface; warm yellow lights, strings in perfect fifths, enormous waveshadows all over the walls.

Four dancers appear from the depths of the water, one after another. The Flutist flies from the midst of them again up, higher than ever, but then starts to bleed, as if had happened an abortion, the dancers drown. The corpses float on the surface, faces down, music gets louder, the water slowly vaporizes. The corpses blot. Gets dark.

The windmills of t.i.m.e. run on the horizon in complete silence. The poem reflects on screen. A male Dancer and the Flutist appear, perform t.i.m.e., ending in an embryo-pose.

Air becomes slowly pure and white. Huge globe with the living birds falls down from the ceiling. The Flutist bends over Dancer, form pietá for a second, but then she turns her back to the Dancer and focuses on the birds.
