Double Quartet with Piano Solo was my purest Neue Schönheit work made separately for a string instrument quartet and a piano solo, which finishes the same for the whole work.

A few years after the very first performance, this work gained response when CNN used it in reporting on the sinking of the ferry "Estonia" in the Baltic Sea that occurred in 1996, the music being from a rememberance concert in Stockholm performed by Käbi Laretei.
